Even as a little girl I was in awe of the beauty of the church and all the candles. It is one of the few things I remember as a child.
I hope you enjoy the weekend.suzehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12446832751028309867noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6676895059097144513.post-62421345655041270212008-10-03T11:24:00.000-07:002008-10-03T11:24:00.000-07:00I ahven't been to visit you in awhile so I figure ...I ahven't been to visit you in awhile so I figure I am over due. I grew up Eastern Orthodox (Catholicism is the oldest Christian religion, Eastern Orthodox is the second oldest) and was all too familiar with icons (religious paintings). I used to count them in church to get through the 2 hour service. I love religious art now. It is timeless.

Thanks for sharing the scriptures. My favorite is the tears in the bottle. For one thing, he was a deeply spiritual person and it was a private thing for him. I'm not practising myself, but I do go to the cathedral here, light candles and say a little prayer; the place is conducive to quiet and meditation :-) xoxoxoxoA bird in the handhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04722441286099105034noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6676895059097144513.post-35897014169229936042008-10-02T04:23:00.000-07:002008-10-02T04:23:00.000-07:00Wonderful post young lady!Wonderful post young lady!Brendahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16299205162628367889noreply@blogger.com
