The Ghost of Violin Annie

Annie was a little girl in our town who died in the late 1800's of a tragic childhood illness. And even though her father was a doctor he could not save her. She was dark haired and had beautiful soft brown eyes, with skin as white as milk.
Annie was a violinist and it had been rumored she was destined for greatness. She is buried in a very Gothic cemetery. Her tombstone was hand carved in Italy out of the finest marble. Her grief stricken father would spare no expense . And at midnight Annie begins to play.

  1. It makes my heart sad that her Father was so grief stricken. I cannot imagine losing a child.

    The nice part and I wish her Father knew this, but forever people will remember his Annie because of him commissioning this monument.

    Thank you Nita for sharing this.

  2. =^..^= Nita

    Your telling of ...
    Violin Annie.
    Concerts given at midnight.
    Oh how I love this!

    I imagine she plays for her father.
    I picture him smiling under the moon.
    Listening.

    Now I will open the windows
    in summer for the breeze to bring the music
    through the curtains. So Annie can come inside
    here too.

    Thank you!
