Blackbird Dreams..

(I took this photo yesterday)

He sat down to take a rest for a moment and fell silent like the grave to the ground.

His spirit flew through the trees and rested upon the branch of the willow tree. He looked at his body on the ground. Still and silent like his dreams.

He had always wondered when his days would end..And he felt sad that he would no longer feel the waves of wind upon his frame . Or feed upon bread and take baths in still and silent streams.

But he would be able to see..What others did not, and that was the souls of man.

  9. Nita, the picture of the bird reminds me of an image I seen in my big living room window. One day the sun had hit it just right when I noticed something odd I swear it is the same image you have but mine was more ghost like, I took a picture of it also the bird must of hit the window hard and left a dust like impression it was very odd to say the least

  10. Beautiful writing! The poor misfortune of this blackbird. When I see animals on the road, I remind myself, "Do not be confused by changing form." in other words the spirit is just changing vessels, it somehow soothes my heart.

I hope your heart is feeling some comfort today.
