They say the eyes are windows into a person's soul. I think that the music you listen to is a window into a persons soul as well. There is a song to the lower right of this post, by Daniel Lanois , he invites Emmy Lou Harris up to the stage and it is wonderful . I love Emmy Lou Harris. When they start singing together their chemistry is magic. He looks like he wants to kiss her, In fact their faces are so close they almost touch. A kiss away.... I love it.
There is a song at the top right that reminds me of John and me more than any other song, Our House, by Crosby, Stillls and Nash. In fact that group so reminds me of John.
Then below that is a song by Dave Matthews, Crash Into You. I have always loved this song. Then below that is a song by the Gin Blossoms, Found Out About You. Love this one as well. Can you tell I am a hopeless romantic?
Then a song that is pretty much my theme song, I take My Chances by Mary Chapin Carpenter. I guess here is a peek into me.
It has been a sad day, I miss John so much. I just miss the strength of him. I miss hearing him take a shower in the morning, and I miss his kisses good night. I miss the smell of his skin . I just miss him. His boots are still beside the couch, I can't bear to move them yet. They are in the same place he left them . I am so tired tonight, and yet I can't sleep . ~nita~
Wish I could help out more...Hugs to you...
ReplyDeleteNita,
ReplyDeletei lose myself in music. one more thing we have in common, is also our eclectic taste in music. Our house is a proverbial cacophonial symphony.
Blondie
Donna: Thank you, you do, just by leaving a comment. Thanks for caring. xo Nita
ReplyDeleteBlondie: I love the music on your site. I just figured out how to post music yesterday. I will be changing it alot. xoxo Nita
I'm a strong believer that art and music soothes the soul.... and music is the soundtrack of life too! :)
ReplyDeleteNita,
ReplyDeleteI just got home from a trip to St. Louis. My sister-in-law is not doing well. I am heavy-hearted for her as she stuggles with the will to live and alcoholism. As I was driving into the city, I thought of you and John. I wondered if he was at the same hospital my SIL has been frequenting (I don't know the name of it anyway). I'm praying for you two, and for my family in St. Louis.
Much love,
amanda
Crash Into You...mmmm. I love it.
ReplyDeleteMusic heals, really it does.
sheri: music means so much to me. i agree about it being the soundtrack of life. xo nita
ReplyDeleteAmanda: I am sorry to hear about your sister - in- law. I will say a prayer for her. I am praying for you to dear Amanda. xoxo nita
Mary: intoxicating song, isn't it? xoxo nita
I smiled, sweetly by the music you noted.......and Mary Chapin Carpenter.....that song!! And your post my dear girl. I simply burst into tear because I could feel your 'missing.' The sounds and the smell of his skin. Oh Sweet Pea. I have no words of comfort. Just knowing.
ReplyDeleteIt's not enough.
I'm glad you found SuziBlu...I just love her and if you go have a Suzi fix every day...especially 'Gato' or 'Kitties and Bunnies' you will have the happy medicine needed. I have a SuziBlu fix every day.
