This is a photo I took today while at the park.
I sat alone, and ate my lunch in the car while it rained.
Sadness overwhelmed me again today, being Sunday and all.
But, I looked over, and there was a Blackbird sitting in the middle of the road. He cocked his head and looked at me. His yellow eyes staring at me.
It was an odd feeling..But it comforted me. I snapped a picture of him and ran it through photo shop.
I really liked the affect..
Hope you like it.

I pray for hope and peace today for anyone who needs it. And for you to know you are loved by someone who is greater than us all....I send my prayers on Angel's wings ..

Great photo!! (HUGS)
It seems to me that this Blackbird was a gentle nudge from God, letting you know that though you may be feeling alone, you are never truly alone with Him watching over you. He loves you so much Nita and He knows your every thought and heartache. He will never abandon you and neither will I. I love you girl and pray for true treasures to continue to be all around you. You are a treasure to me. John is forever in your heart, the heart that hurts so much right now. Bless your week.

Hi Nita,
This photo is so beautiful it should be published, Nita. You are so incredibly talented!
Neil Young is one of my favourite musicians and this is one of my favourite songs...yet another sign that John is your guardian angel.

Thank you for visiting my blog. It is nice to get to know you! I love the picture of the bird (I love birds, period).
Also, I love Corrie ten Boom's "The Hiding Place", too. My daughter and I just read it this year! I love lots of the books you listed.
Take care and visit often!

Nita,
I just read further in your blog and see that you must have lost your husband. Your post on Father's Day was especially poignant. I hope that you are well. I believe you are right, one never gets over such a loss. I guess we move on with it at our side.
I pray you and your family are well.
Love,
Elizabeth

Hi Nita,
I think I know that the blackbird was a nudge to you from a very special person! Hope it lifted your heart!

Laurie: I think you are right, about the blackbird being a nudge from God. I felt so lonley after church. No one inviting me over, or out to dinner..
But I thought I am waiting on people to encourage me, and I am going to have to encourage myself.
So many times we don't know how to treat someone who has lost a loved one.
So we ignore them..
But yesterday I made a decision, I am not waiting on the people who live around me anymore to encourage me, or to ask me out, or for them to come get me for their promised ride or for their call.
I am going to be encouraged and work on my dreams..I am going to reach out to other hurting people and be there for them.
You are a treasure to me to Laurie..A welcome comfort...
Sending you love, Nita
Hi Nita, that's a great photo there!
Such an interesting photo!! Great Job
Nita, that photo is awesome.
I was thinking of you today Nita as I made my way back into 'blogland'... thinking of your beautiful spirit and your tender heart.
You are dearly loved and never, EVER alone... may God move you to help heal hearts that are broken, and bring encouragement where it is desperately needed.
I am encouraged by your Faith daily.
