Mermaid Treasure....

(click on picture for better view)
My niece dove one Summer for a week to get these clam shells off the bottom of her family lake for me. I treasure them... I mixed some of my favorite pieces of jewelry in with the shells because of the colors.
What do you have that you treasure?

When my mom was a girl she dove for these treasures too. She had a Prince Albert tobacco tin full of fresh water pearls.

Hi Nita, beautiful clam shells ! There are muscles here in the lake and in the summer when we go to the lake to swim, the children always like diving for them and they are so proud of their finds !

My mom has a couple very old metal mesh coin purses. When my daughter and niece were very young, they decided the purses must be made of mermaid skin. I wish I could add them to your treasure.

Hi Nita,

What beautiful shells! That picture is just lovely. For me, I have a million things I treasure, but I guess if I had to pick one favorite, it would be my old books :)

Hugs,
