We Are Not Replaceable...

When I was in the hospital Mom called me and asked if there was anything she could do for me besides taking care of the animals.

I asked her to please get bird seed, and make sure the birds and squirrels outside were fed everyday.

I have always put bird seed out for as long as I can remember. Mom said she would be happy to do that for me.
When I got home she told me that she had put seed out everyday and would watch from my window to see if the birds would come. No birds..No squirrels..

The day after I got home from the hospital I heard the loudest racket outside.

Mom was over at my house helping me by doing some laundry. I slowly walked to the window and Mom was right behind me.

We looked out the window and there was a yard full of birds..And the 4 squirrels that use to come everyday before I went into the hospital.

Mom said, "Nita this may sound weird but they know you are home."
It made me cry because I was so happy they had came back and that they had missed me.

We make more of a difference in life than we know..

You make more of a difference in life than you know..

Tomorrow I have a surprise. I have made several pieces of jewelry today and I want to have a drawing and give it away for a late Valentines Day present.

I wanted to post it this afternoon but had a surprise visit from my lovely son and and my precious grand baby Chloe.

Pictures will be posted tomorrow of the jewelry. .

What a wonderful post! I don't think that any of us truly knows the impact that each and everyone of us has on the world!

Also, your song choice - it is the song that my husband and I played on our wedding day. I think that he and my children give me the best days of my life, and I am thankful for each and every one!

Nita...you HAVE known me for a long time. How you feel is how it is. I know how you feel because I will never stop aching for Patrick.
In moments of great need..he is there..I think it is God's will that they come to us when we think of them. It is nothing I can explain..it is just a "knowing." I go on...I have to. So do you..
You may not feel brave..but you are. To me you are one of the bravest women I know.
I am praying you will continue to get well..and one day the joy you once knew will be back in full force. Think it..and it will happen. I practiced until I felt it...it's called faith.
Warmly,
Mona

I'm so sorry I have not been around to visit in awhile. Somehow your blog got removed from my blog roll. I was thinking of you and wondered how you were doing and was so happy when I was able to find your blog and come back here.

I'm so sorry for all you have been going through and of course I will keep you in my prayers! I always do.

You are so strong and so brave. Even if you don't feel like you are. Look at all you have and are still going through and yet your heart reaches out to others.

Those animals did know you were gone. They were missing you and once you got home they were happy once again. They need you!

Stay strong and know you are loved very very much!

I have put you on my blog roll again and hope nothing happens to get you removed ever again! Because you matter to me, very very much!

Hugs,
Joanne

My comment didn't go through, so I'm trying again. We've moved a lot during the past 15 years, and everywhere I've lived, I've always put out bird feeders. I love the wild birds. Love the squirrels, too--my parents used to have a mountain cabin when we were growing up, and we'd feed the squirrels peanuts right from our hands on the front porch! So glad your birds are back, and I know THEY are glad you're home! Love, Jann
