These angels are in the entrance at the hospital where John is, aren't they wonderful?Everyone has been asking what they can do, I would really like it if everyone sent John a card. He is very depressed, I went to see him yesterday and he was really down. We have not been away from each other for more than a day or two in 21 years. And he is so lonely, and sad about what has happened to him, the reality has finally sunk in. I never actually told you what happened. John fell out of a bucket while trimming trees at work. That is how he broke his neck.
In the confusion of everything Elizabeth forgot to tell how the accident happened.
I don't care if you send a postcard, a homemade card, whatever card you want is fine. I just want him to have hope and to know people care. He loves John Deere, walking sticks, Loves, and I MEAN LOVES Jokes. Woodsy things, he is an outdoor person.

I am so glad to hear more details and how you are coping. Don't ever be hesitant to tell about the bad moments or tough days. Don't sugar coat things for me. Ever!
