Fairy Paintings...

(click on image for better view)

I bought the most divine book today, titled 120 Great Fairy Paintings. It has some of the most beautiful fairy pictures I have ever seen in it.

These are Royalty free so I would like anyone who wants a copy of these to please take one.
I will put some more on soon.

In the bottom picture, I love the way the fairies are bringing the fledgling water in an acorn cap, and two of them are bringing it berries. Is this not the stuff of magic?

nita, thank you for thinking about me!... those faery paintings surely looks b e a u t i f u l! once i had an calendar, where was the artist's paintings. One of my favorite faery artists are these:

arthur rackham
brian & wendy froud
terri windling
suza scalora (an photographer)
cicely mary barker
amy brown

there is an old lore, which tells, that in every acorn there is a faery. i have always loved oak's; they are very powerful and magical trees.

sending you hugs...

donna: That is so neat that you bought the first one 8 years ago. I am excited to read the series.
I have read most of the Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket. Have you ever read his stuff? It is so good. In fact there is a new series called, Pushing Up Daisies, that so reminds me of his writing style.
Have a great day friend.. love nita

Pam: I love everything to do with Fairies. That is neat that you have a fairy calendar. I wanted to get one this year but didn't get a chance.
I had started to make a fairy house when John had his accident, but I stopped. I need to start making it again.
Have a great night. xoxo Nita
