Quanah Parker
1852-1911
Quanah was the son of Comanche Chief, Peta Nocone and Cynthia Ann Parker. In 1867 he became chief of the Comanche. He was at one time believed to be the wealthiest American Indian in the United States. He was a bold warrior and a great leader of his people.

Love seeing this! My mother's cousin married Quanah Parker's great-granddaughter. Her name is Quanah, also... as is her daughter's. What a lovely woman she is. He would be proud. What a wonderful heritage...love the Native American culture.

very cool! i love the culture... my grandparents told my siblings and i that our father was part native american and growing up we always thought we were... then i found my father and he said nope... im a white boy. haha...
